The Bow City Solar Project is proposed for lands roughly 25 kilometers southwest of Brooks, Alberta.
All of the solar panels will be located on privately owned farmland within the County of Newell.
The project will be located away from homes, roads and industry as per the guidelines set out by the Alberta Utility Commission and the County of Newell.
To transmit the energy to the grid, the project will be connected to a transmission line near the project.
The Bow City Solar Project is anticipated to be operational as early as fourth quarter, 2020.
